1. New Business Contacts – The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce is the second largest Chamber in Central Texas. Members gain access to hundreds of prospective customers. The Chamber currently holds a minimum of six networking events each month. Each event offers you an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business, and network with other members of the Chamber.

2. Effective, Low Cost Advertising Opportunities - All advertising opportunities through the Chamber are available only to our members. The Official Map to Georgetown & Williamson County and our membership directory are published by the Chamber every year and included in our relocation packets. We also have inexpensive advertising on our website that many members have found to be very effective.

3. Publicity & Exposure - As a member of the Chamber, you are encouraged to put company-related materials on display in our lobby. Three business showcases each year give our members an additional way to promote their products and services to the public, as well as fellow Chamber members. Member business can also gain publicity and exposure through a free ribbon cutting. Finally, our weekly Chamber Link newsletter is a way to share your information with other Chamber members.

4. Ongoing Training for Business Professionals – The Chamber holds quarterly video training seminars on the big screen at City Lights Theatres. Monthly Lunch & Learn seminars also provide a way for Chamber members to continue their business education.

5. Member Discounts – Chamber members receive a significant discount when renting our meeting room and/or purchasing mailing labels. Additionally, many Chamber businesses (including Austin Community College) offer a member to member discount.

6. Credibility - Many members of the community consider Chamber membership to be a sign of a reputable, stable business. We receive hundreds of phone calls each year from individuals checking to see if a business is a Chamber member. When you join the Chamber, you will receive a Chamber decal for you to display so that those visiting your business will know you are a member of the Chamber.

7. Recommendations - We are a member-oriented organization; therefore, we only refer our members. We get hundreds of calls from all over the country from people looking for a certain business or service.

8. Leadership Georgetown - Leadership Georgetown is a program which identifies and develops talented and committed citizens who aspire to provide leadership in Georgetown’s business and community activities. Only Chamber members may participate.

9. Free Services – The Chamber offers a variety of free services to Chamber members. Each new member is invited to attend a free New Member Orientation Luncheon that provides an overview of the Chamber and its many programs. The Chamber also offers Notary Public service at no charge to its members, by appointment only. Chamber members may use office equipment, such as the fax machine and scanner, as needed for free. Chamber members are able to post job openings and view resumes of people looking for jobs in the area for free. Additionally, the Chamber sponsors the Georgetown Retired Executive Committee. This committee provides small business owners an opportunity to bounce off business opportunity ideas and strategies in an informal setting via free one-on-one counseling sessions.
