A primary focus of our Chamber is making sure that our members receive genuine value for their support and involvement. We are always eager to enhance this value and welcome member's ideas and input.


BUSINESS DIRECTORY - Your membership in the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce provides you with two listings in our business directory; alphabetically & by category of your business. 10,000 copies are distributed through members, the Chamber lobby, & the Visitor Center downtown (free of charge). This directory serves as our relocation guide, which is mailed to potential new residents and businesses upon request.

MAP - The official map to Georgetown is published by the Chamber every year with a distribution of 15,000. It is distributed through the Chamber and the Visitor Center.

LOBBY SERVICES - As a member of the Chamber, you are entitled to put your business cards and any company-related brochures on display in our lobby. All visitors are encouraged to browse the lobby and take any materials on display.

RIBBON CUTTING - A free ribbon cutting can be scheduled at your request at the following times: Monday - Thursday at 12:15pm or 5:15pm, or Friday at 12:15pm. We will bring the large scissors, ribbon and camera, notify all Ambassadors, and the General Membership via Chamber Link, and we will send you a copy of the pictures.

NEWSLETTER - We will provide you with our weekly newsletter (Chamber Link) by e-mail to keep you informed of all Chamber news and functions for the upcoming weeks. All new members are listed in the newsletter with their contact information and a brief description about their business. Existing members are encouraged to submit newsworthy information about their business.

CHAMBER RECOMMENDATIONS - We are a member-oriented organization; therefore, we only refer our members. We get hundreds of calls from all over the country from people looking for business or service information.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES - Business Network Lunch (the second Tuesday of the month), Business After Hours (the third Thursday of the month), monthly Lunch & Learn seminars (fourth Wednesday of the month), Breakfast Links (third Monday of the month), Ambassadors Lunch (first Wednesday of the month) and the Young Professionals (second Monday of the month) offer you an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business, and network with other members of the Chamber to both socialize and make business contacts. Our monthly Face to Face event allows participants to meet other individuals one-on-one in five minute increments. The Chamber has a very popular bowling league that meets on Tuesday nights.

BUSINESS SHOWCASE - Three business showcases each year give our members the opportunity to promote their products & services to the public, as well as to fellow Chamber members. The New Member Showcase takes place in March, Prime Time Business Showcase is in May, & Back To School for Business in in August. Each event attracts hundreds of people.

SILVER SCREEN SEMINARS - These quarterly training seminars are held on the big screen at City Lights Theatres. They include motivational videos focused on customer service, team building, leadership, and creating an effective & successful organization where people enjoy working.

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION - Each new member is invited to attend a free New Member Orientation Luncheon that provides an overview of the Chamber and its many programs. Attendees also learn about the great opportunities to get involved in the Chamber.

ROOM RENTAL - We have a large conference room (capacity of 168 people) and board room that can be rented out at discounted prices.

NOTARY PUBLIC SERVICE - The Chamber offers Notary Public services at no charge to its members, by appointment only.

MAILING LABELS - Our complete membership is available to you in two ways: mailing labels in zip code order, or on hard copy. Member cost is $25.00, non-members pay $200.00.

OFFICE SERVICES - Chamber members can stop by any time to send local faxes or to scan documents at no charge. Free WiFi is also available.

WEBSITE - Anyone can log on to our website at www.georgetownchamber.org and find a categorical listing of our membership. We recommend that your website be hyper-linked to ours to make it easy for users to easily access your website. Banner ads are available to our members at very affordable rates. Also, the logo listing allows you to advertise your company to people looking for your type of business. It includes an eye-catching logo, business contact information, web address, & up to 100 word text description about the business.

MEMBER TO MEMBER DISCOUNTS - Many Chamber businesses (including Austin Community College) offer a discount to other Chamber members. To view the discounts, go to the Our Chamber tab on the homepage and click Member Discounts.

GEORGETOWN RETIRED EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - Sponsored by the Chamber, this committee provides small business owners an opportunity to bounce off business ideas and strategies in an informal setting via free one-on-one counseling sessions. LEADERSHIP GEORGETOWN - Leadership Georgetown is a program which identifies & develops talented and committed Chamber members who aspire to provide leadership in Georgetown's business & community activities.
