The Georgetown Chamber is pleased to organize and publicize your special day. We’ll provide the giant scissors and ribbon and promote your event in our newsletter, Chamber Connections, and on our website and social media. While the Chamber invites Chamber Ambassadors, City officials and Chamber Staff, we encourage businesses to invite clients, vendors, neighboring businesses, family and friends to attend your ribbon cutting.
Ribbon cuttings and ground breakings are an exclusive benefit offered to our members. Keep in mind that the date you want may already be scheduled so make sure to contact us in advance. To schedule your ribbon cutting, contact the Chamber.
Since the ribbon cutting marks a very significant moment in the business’ history, this is also a great photo opportunity. The ceremony gives the business owner or manager a chance to say a few words to their esteemed guests. Business owners use this time to publicly thank their financial supporters, their employees, their friends and family, and their business partners. They also take the opportunity to talk exclusively about what their business offers, goals and mission.
